If you wish to submit an unsolicited piece of writing, we prefer that you first submit a proposal.  All submissions will be considered for both print and online publication. Membrana is a hybrid journal, which means that all articles can also be published in Open Access in exchange for an Article Processing Charge (APC). We are quite adamant about our guidelines, so we urge you to thoroughly check that your contribution fits our requirements. Do not hesitate to contact us for any issue you may encounter.
