Simon Podgoršek (born in 1984) lives and works in Kamnik. He first became interested in photography in his teens. Later he began his photography studies in Poland in Warsaw at Akademia Fotografii. He continued his studies in Ljubljana at the Institute and Academy for Multimedia IAM and then at the Higher School of Applied Sciences VIST. There he also graduated with a diploma thesis on Indian photography, under the mentorship of Dr Sarival Sosič. In recent years he has been working closely with the Center for Contemporary Photography Photon. In the section of selected exhibition, we can mention biennale 5. photodistorzija in Poreč, Croatia, Fine and visual art in Velenje, Slovenia, 45^th Winter Salon in Herceg Novi, Monte Negro, Alternative Worlds in the Photon Gallery, exhibitions within the Month of Photography festival in Kamnik. This year he is exhibiting in the premises of Circulation 2 and MSUM in Ljubljana.
